Last year was a really busy year for me and it was a great joy when I managed to fork out time to do something personal. It was another delightful collaboration with Vienna Mei of Giorgia Couture and Jennis Wong of Jennis Wong Makeup. The first collaboration can be found here.

These three posts feature a styled shoot I did late last year. Collaborated with the amazing teams from Louvre Bridal and Ana Hana Flower, together we created this series of beautiful images that I would like to share with all the wedding couples out there.

Rustic prewedding themes are always a popular choice, especially among couples who want a cool and relaxed vibe during their photoshoot. The theme is typically inspired by nature and the great outdoors, often incorporating many floral and woodsy accents, as well as decorative details that evoke a countryside flair.

As the sun gradually set closer and closer to the horizon, daylight was diminishing fast, and soon dusk fell. We brought a couple of props to sprinkle in some fun for this prewedding shoot. Firstly, we had our sparklers. With the dazzling sparklers, the couple was like embracing their inner child and having so much fun playing. Right before them, I captured their love that is shining as bright as the sparklers. Secondly, we brought the popular fairy lights. Fairy lights exude a classy vibe, which creates the perfect opportunity to capture captivatingly extraordinary moments. The result is a romantic touch that leaves the photos looking magical.

These three posts feature a styled shoot I did late last year. Collaborated with the amazing teams from Louvre Bridal and Ana Hana Flower, together we created this series of beautiful images that I would like to share with all the wedding couples out there.

Nothing makes me happier than couples who want to take their prewedding photos at home. Not going after epic “instagrammable” backdrops, but going to places of significance. I think the reason for that is, of course, it takes the pressure off of all of us. Pressure off of finding a place, scouting locations, and putting the energy into shooting somewhere that they feel so relaxed and still look great in photos. In-home sessions can be a great way to immediately give a sense of comfort to the couple being photographed, as it’s happening on “their turf”.

Ten Reasons for Doing a Prewedding Photoshoot at Home

• Unique: It’s YOUR place (vs. a beautiful public place).
• Comfort: There’s nothing like the comfort of one’s home. Shooting there will make you relaxed.

So for the next three posts, I will feature a styled shoot I did late last year. Collaborated with the amazing teams from Louvre Bridal and Ana Hana Flower, together we created this series of beautiful images that I would like to share with all the wedding couples out there.

We love wedding dresses, they make you look like a princess and set a feminine, romantic tone for your wedding. However, if you are looking for something cool and unconventional, a bridal pantsuit is an alternative to consider. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the classic A-frame wedding gown, but as weddings continue to take on new forms and traditions evolve, more people are choosing to skip the gowns for bridal pantsuits, tailored rompers and versatile two-piece sets that bring an entirely different vibe to the day. A chic pantsuit can look just as incredible as any dress, and it definitely brings out your individual style.

That is why for the first part of the series, we had Denise, wearing a bridal pantsuit, frolicking with her beau. Ever so carefree and relaxed. Later on, we added a detachable organza train to add the finishing touch to a delicate and ladylike look. How neat is that!

For a complete one-of-a-kind styling, we had chosen a multi-storey car park and that served as the ideal location to bring urban chic flare to life. We couldn’t resist the edgy, fashion-forward vibes that the MSCP offers. Urban chic styling is cosmopolitan, modern, minimalist design at its best. Hence, I felt that the car park’s plain walls and gritty concrete floors are just what we need to feature together with the bridal pantsuit.

Last but not least, held in Denise’s hands was a dried and preserved bridal bouquet. Talk about uniqueness, this is it. In the past, dried flowers were perceived as not being as vibrant as their fresh-cut counterparts, but that’s all changing. The biggest upside of selecting preserved flowers; There is no need to worry about them wilting on your wedding day. Plus, you can cherish them long after the big day has come and gone.

This isn’t much of a styled shoot but an editorial shoot. It’s a year-end collaboration with Vienna Mei of Giorgia Couture, a new partner, who provided all these lovely, elegant and distinctive bridal gowns. And not forgetting my trusted makeup artist, Jennis who through her fingers, dolled up the pretty model with such beautiful makeup.

The shoot brought us to Jurong Lake Gardens this time round in the early morning. I mentioned this location in my previous post about top favourite photoshoot locations for family and maternity. This charming grassland is also a hot spot for wedding and prewedding couples in recent years. With the golden light from the morning sun, this is just like fields of gold. Such a beauty.

The woodland in Coney Island gives me the same magical feeling. Doing the styled pre-wedding shoot over there is definitely the perfect choice. The love between couples is somewhat magical too, isn’t it?

Wandering amidst the sparse huge trees and slowly across the dense undergrowth, holding on the each other’s hands akin to holding each other’s heart. A fairy-tale love in a mystical setting is exactly what I have in my mind, the kind of pictures that I would love to capture. It’s just so whimsical and romantic.

Our next spot brought us to the rolling grassland that stretched out to meet the sky over the horizon. Existing at the boundary of civilization, it’s located along Punggol Road. Also, just within a stone’s throw away, we can find pastures of lalang grass that make for a surreal and amazing backdrop.

Not too sure about the lovebirds, this shoot location sure sends my feeling for wanderlust tinkling.
