Intimate weddings are brilliant and beautiful. The onset of the coronavirus pandemic has given rise to a certain trend in weddings that no one had predicted. Intimate weddings are the new normal, and the new normal is here to stay.

“So how does it feel like having a small wedding?” I asked the newlywed, Eric and Junie. The couple felt more relaxed because they were surrounded by close-knit friends and family, and they felt more at home with their guests.

Keeping a beautiful wedding simple. Despite all the measures implemented in Phrase 2 wedding, Eric and Junie had gone ahead with a 20 pax wedding in July. That day was also my first wedding after a super long break. I couldn’t express how happy I was holding my camera shooting again. I’m really thankful that we actually went ahead with this small celebration and photographing this meaningful wedding.

Personally, I think that intimate weddings can have just as much of an impact as a large celebration. The love and warmth can be easily felt for sure. I can get used to this new normal.

Shooting a post-wedding right after the small merrymaking is getting increasingly popular too. A wedding used to be involved in a full day of celebration. Hence, with time on our hands and the couple still drowning in their happiness and excitement, it is the perfect game plan to do a post-wedding shoot. Eric and Junie, and myself did just that. So, watch out this space for their post-wedding images.
