Wedding Photographer Singapore

1. Where are you based?
I am based in Singapore, affectionately referred to as the “Little Red Dot” in South-East Asia.

2. What is your style?
If you are looking for a photographer who can capture the very essence of your wedding without posing and intervening, you have come to the right place. As a story-telling wedding photographer who has a very strong belief in “photojournalism”, my mission is to document the authentic story of your once-in-a-lifetime event and your personalities by capturing the precious moments unobtrusively and artistically. However, I also love to look for special on-location elements to create beautiful timeless portraits that portray the loving relationship between the couple. I will give you simple posing guidance to ensure you look natural and gorgeous in the photographs.

3. How many years of experience do you have?
I’ve been photographing weddings and portraits since January 2005 with more than 500 wedding assignments over the years. In January 2011, I started my own company UnderTheStars Photography.

4. We are just engaged. What do we do next?
Congratulations! It’s time to enjoy the wedding planning process. Before anything else, discuss with your partner to set the priorities of the wedding needs and make the booking accordingly. For example, if hiring a good photographer to capture the precious moments of your wedding day is your first priority, you should book your wedding day photographer first before you book the wedding gowns and pre-wedding photography package. The wedding day photographer whose style you love most may not be available on your wedding date if you book late, while wedding gowns and pre-wedding photography package can be booked anytime without the need of a particular date.

5. What is your pricing?
You may contact me for the package details and I will get back to you ASAP. Please check the spam/junk folder of your mailbox if you did not receive my reply, it might have gotten into your spam/junk folder. Alternatively, you can reach me via WhatsApp using the “WhatsApp us” button on the bottom left page of my website.

6. Your pricing is above our budget. Are you able to offer some discounts?
I’m so sorry for not being able to discount mainly for two reasons. Firstly, my pricing is fixed and it’s not fair to my wedding couples who have had paid me in full pricing. Secondly, other than the 2-hour package, all the other packages are already discounted as compared to my hourly rates. The bigger the package, the better discount the package has. As a matter of fact, looking at the pricing alone doesn’t give you a clear picture of what I am going to deliver to you and the priceless moments captured in the photos. Furthermore, other than the expensive equipment that I have to maintain and buy, and software licenses that I have to pay for annually, there is a great amount of editing work behind the scene after every wedding shoot.

7. Do you provide gowns & suits?
No, I don’t. However, you may visit my collaborated bridal boutiques like Giorgia Couture, Lourve Bridal, and other great bridal boutiques in Singapore for your gowns & suits needs.

8. Are you the same as those bridal studios?
Nope, I’m not the same as those bridal studios who provide one-stop services such as wedding gowns, make-up, bridal car, bouquet, etc. I only specialise in the art of wedding photography and portraitures with my own signature style and only take a limited number of assignments every year. Hence my pricing and service structure are very different to the bridal studios. If you need recommendations for make-up artists or bridal boutiques, please visit my page Partners & Perks.

9. Do you photograph group photos and details?
Yes, I do. Besides the candid moments, group photos and details are also an important part of your wedding photography collection, especially the family photos!

10. Where can we see your latest portfolio online?
You can always follow my Instagram for my latest portfolio and updates. I update my website as frequent as possible too, with a comprehensive showcase of the weddings I’ve photographed.

11. Is your wedding photography package transferrable?
Nope, all my wedding photography packages are not transferrable.

12. What is your postpone/cancellation/refund policy?
After making the booking, you can postpone your wedding for any reason without any additional charge or loss of deposit, as long as I’m available on the rescheduled date. However, if I am not available, the deposit is non-refundable. It would be good if you can check with me about my availability first before you confirm the postponement. If you cancel your wedding event, the deposit is non-refundable as well.

13. How long is your delivery of the edited wedding day photos?
The estimated time frame for the delivery is 3 to 5 weeks after the wedding.

14. Do you provide childhood montage service?
No, I don’t.

15. How long in advance should we send you an enquiry or make a booking?
Once you have your wedding date, you can contact me for my availability and photography packages. I am receiving enquiries/bookings up to 1.5 years in advance from some wedding couples who plan their wedding early. It is always better to save your date with me as soon as possible.

16. Can we make the booking if we are not sure the number of hours needed for the photography on our wedding day?
Traditional Chinese weddings in Singapore usually need 8 to 10 hours of photography coverage, depending on whether is it a lunch banquet or a dinner banquet. The photography timing can be split into two sessions (i.e. 5 hours for the morning customary and 5 hours for the banquet). For church weddings, it could be up to 12 hours sometimes. Nevertheless, if you are unsure, you can make the booking for 6 hours or 8 hours first so that I can reserve the date for you. When your wedding itinerary is firmed up nearing your wedding day, you can top up the number of hours accordingly.

17. How can we reserve your photography service? What are the payment methods?
For reservation, I required a deposit of 50%. You may make the payment in cash, cheque, or online bank transfer. Upon receiving your deposit, your date will then be reserved. The remaining balance will be due on the same day when the images are delivered after the wedding day.

18. What will happen after the reservation?
After the reservation, I will reach out to you a week before your wedding date to get your wedding itinerary. I will advise you on things to take note of to keep your wedding activities running smoothly and share tips as well. As for pre-wedding photography, we can always discuss the locations and timings via email and WhatsApp at any time.
